    Description

Sombre Negra by Yosh is a dark, earthy incense-vetiver composition built around smoky woods, patchouli and shadowy spice. It opens with a striking rush of clove, nutmeg, cumin and juniper berry over a dense veil of smoke and leather before settling into green vetiver and deeply earthy patchouli. As it develops, iris, rose and tonka lend a suede-like softness and subtle powder, smoothing the edges of the smoky core without diluting its rugged character. The drydown is a contemplative blend of vetiver, sandalwood, oud and lingering incense that feels primal yet refined, often perceived as masculine but loved by many women who enjoy dark, niche woods. Created by Yosh Han for unisex.

    Community Insights

Reviewers describe Sombre Negra as a bold, rugged, niche woody-incense scent that is not designed for mass appeal but captivates lovers of dark, smoky compositions. Many note a powerful opening of vetiver, patchouli, incense and cloves, with some experiencing more leather and smoke while others get a greener, vetiver-dominant profile. Opinions on performance vary, with some finding it moderate in projection and longevity and others reporting above-average sillage and lasting power.

    Pros

Performance excellence: Many wearers report strong projection in the opening with noticeable sillage and, on some skin, above-average longevity, particularly in the smoky vetiver-patchouli phase.
Versatile appeal: Enthusiasts find it ideal for cool evenings, contemplative moods, and dressed-up occasions where a dark, mysterious signature scent is desired rather than something office-safe.
Quality composition: Reviewers consistently praise the richness of the incense-vetiver-patchouli accord, the nuanced leather and suede effects, and the sophisticated evolution from sharp smoke to creamy woods and tonka.

    Cons

Specific limitation: Several users mention that after an initially forceful opening, the fragrance can drop to a skin scent within a few hours on some skin types, leading to disappointment for those expecting beast-mode performance.
Situational drawback: The dense smoke, earthy patchouli and animalic leather facets can feel too intense or challenging in warm weather, casual daytime settings, or close-quarters environments.

    Comparisons

Similar to Tom Ford Tuscan Leather: Some reviewers note a related dark leather smokiness, though Sombre Negra is generally described as greener and more vetiver-driven with pronounced incense and earth.
Reminds reviewers of classic smoky incense and campfire-style niche scents: Commenters compare the mood to other dark incense fragrances, but highlight that Sombre Negra feels more rugged, patchouli-forward and variable depending on skin chemistry.

    Vibe & Emotions

Mysterious confidence: Wearers often reach for it when they want to project an enigmatic, shadowy aura during evenings out or intimate gatherings.
Meditative depth: The earthy vetiver, incense and smoke create a contemplative, inward-looking mood that suits solitary walks, creative work or nighttime reflection.
Edgy sensuality: The leathery, spicy and slightly animalic facets give it a primal, sexy undertone that many associate with a tall, dark, secretive character archetype.
