Molecule 01 + Ginger by Escentric Molecules is a strikingly modern fragrance that fuses the iconic, silky Iso E Super molecule with a brilliantly natural dose of spicy, photorealistic ginger. This minimalist composition opens with a zesty, invigorating ginger note that delivers instant freshness and tactile energy, before receding into the comforting, woody-amber transparency of Iso E Super. The result is a clean, subtly woody scent with an intriguing spicy vibrancy that feels both energizing and intimate on the skin. Perfect for those who want an understated signature with a twist, this is a scent that adapts to the wearer, projecting discreetly while remaining endlessly magnetic. Created by Geza Schoen for unisex.

About ESCENTRIC MOLECULES
Escentric Molecules is a well-established privately owned niche fragrance brand with a cult following for almost 20 years. The brand founded by Geza Schoen (Perfume Nose) and Paul White (Creative Director) consists of a relatively small team based in London and Berlin with an entrepreneurial, passionate and creative culture.
Perfumer Geza Schoen has a reputation as a rebel in the fragrance world.
In 2001, disillusioned with the industry’s increasing commercialisation, he resigned his job at fragrance manufacturers, H & R in Paris and moved to London. Here he met designers, Brian Kirkby and Zowie Broach of Boudicca, working with them over several years to create their fiercely individual scent, Wode.
It was in London, in 2006, that he launched Escentric Molecules: Often described as the ‘anti-fragrance fragrance brand’ Escentric Molecules confounded expectations to become an exponential success.
In 2009 he initiated The Beautiful Mind Series, working with outstanding women in different creative fields to construct fragrances dedicated to the power of the female mind. In 2017 he launched Project Renegades with friends and fellow-perfumers, Mark Buxton and Bertrand Duchaufour. Throughout his career Schoen has collaborated on conceptual projects such as Paper Passion, a fragrance with Steidl, Wallpaper* and Karl Lagerfeld; and worked with artists such as Wolfgang Georgsdorf, for whom he made 64 odours for Smeller, an olfactory organ that spectators can play like a piano to make aromascapes. In 2005 he returned to his native Germany where he lives and works in Berlin.
Reviewers consistently praise the zesty, natural opening of ginger, which is described as both vivid and uplifting, quickly settling into the brand's signature cocooning Iso E Super. Feedback highlights its subtle sillage and skin-like effect, with many noting it's ideal for layering or solo wear.
Pros

Fresh twist: The invigorating ginger opening adds a unique, lively freshness that appeals to fans of minimalist compositions.
Quality simplicity: The blend is praised for its streamlined, pure formula resulting in a versatile 'your skin but better' effect.
Cons
Ginger fleeting: The natural ginger note fades quickly, leaving mostly Iso E Super for the remainder of wear.
Minimalist limitation: Those expecting a pronounced, long-lasting spicy scent may find it too understated for evening or statement occasions.
Comparisons
Similar to Molecule 01: Many note that after the first hour, it resembles the original, with only a subtle hint of ginger distinguishing it.
Reminds reviewers of clean, woody niche scents: Unlike more complex spicy fragrances, Molecule 01 + Ginger is lauded for its simplicity and ethereal presence.
Vibe & Emotions
Invigorated: The opening evokes energy and clarity, especially in morning routines.
Comforted: The Iso E Super drydown provides a sense of calm and cocooning softness throughout the day.
Effortlessly modern: Worn when the wearer wants to project quiet confidence and sophistication.
