Olivier Cresp (b. 1955, Grasse) is a celebrated French Master Perfumer, widely regarded as the father of the gourmand fragrance family. Coming from a family of flower growers and raw material traders, he joined Firmenich in 1992 and was named Master Perfumer in 2006.
Cresp created the groundbreaking Angel by Thierry Mugler (1992), as well as hits like Light Blue (Dolce & Gabbana), Midnight Poison (Dior), and Modern Muse (Estée Lauder). His work earned him honors such as the Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres and a Fragrance Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award.
Today, he continues to innovate through his niche brand Akro, known for bold, sensory-driven creations inspired by pleasures like coffee, chocolate, and nightlife.
