Marco Abaton is a niche perfumer from Savona, a picturesque coastal town in Italy’s Ligurian Riviera. Driven by a deep-rooted passion for chinotto—a uniquely bitter citrus fruit introduced to Savona centuries ago—he crafts signature olfactory experiences that celebrate his hometown’s heritage .
As the founder and creative nose behind Abaton, he has created a trio of distinguished fragrances—Chinotto Gourmand, Chinotto Dark, and Fior di Chinotto—each one capturing different facets of the chinotto: from its bright rind and verdant leaves to its delicate petals .
