Dannielle Sergent

Dannielle Sergent is a California-born perfumer, artist, architect, and designer of Italian and Hungarian descent, who transitioned from painting and architecture—studying at UC Berkeley and the University of Texas at Austin—to perfumery after a pivotal workshop with Yosh Han in 2010. She founded COGNOSCENTI, an artisan fragrance line that debuted in 2012 at the First Artisan Salon in San Francisco, earning five gold medals for its innovative, numbered scents emphasizing simplexity and raw material elevation. Her work blends personal history, naturals, and synthetics to create unique, story-driven fragrances that challenge traditional expectations.
