Christopher Sheldrake is a British perfumer known for his long-running creative partnership with Serge Lutens and his senior role in fragrance research and development at Chanel. Originally intending to become an architect, he switched to perfumery in the 1970s after an apprenticeship at Charabot in Grasse and went on to work at Robertet, Quest (now Givaudan), Shiseido, and Chanel. He is credited with shaping modern niche perfumery through landmark compositions such as Féminité du Bois, Ambre Sultan, Chergui, and Chanel creations including Coco Noir and several Les Exclusifs fragrances.
