Sarah Horowitz

Sarah Horowitz-Thran is an American perfumer who began her career in the late 1980s as a freshman at Emerson College in Boston, where she apprenticed at Essence perfumery, developed her signature 'Fragrance Journey' process for custom scents, and later owned the store before moving to California in 1994 to found Sarah Horowitz Parfums.[1][2] With over 30 years of experience, she is recognized as a pioneer of indie perfumery, creating her own lines like Perfect Perfumes, Evolution Perfumes, and Perfumer's Palette, as well as notable fragrances for brands including By Rosie Jane, Skylar, Urban Decay, and Kai.[1][2] Her intuitive approach emphasizes personalization, serving celebrities, niche brands, and offering contract manufacturing and blending experiences.[1][2][3]
